I partnered with Verizon to design AR‑enabled setup flows in the My Verizon app for new hardware devices, including Wi‑Fi extenders and 5G equipment. Over the course of this work I defined and implemented mobile design guidelines and a cross‑platform design system approach to keep the experience consistent while streamlining hardware setup, device positioning, and signal optimization.

I partnered with Verizon to design AR‑enabled setup flows in the My Verizon app for new hardware devices, including Wi‑Fi extenders and 5G equipment. Over the course of this work I defined and implemented mobile design guidelines and a cross‑platform design system approach to keep the experience consistent while streamlining hardware setup, device positioning, and signal optimization.

Role and Responsibilities

I led the end‑to‑end UX and UI for new device setup, from initial flow mapping to final production‑ready designs. My work included: • Designing AR‑assisted flows to guide customers through placing and activating hardware in their homes. • Translating research insights into clear, low‑friction onboarding paths that reduced confusion during setup. • Conducting detailed design QA to ensure the experiences met Verizon’s bar for visual polish, accessibility, and usability. • Providing recommendations and design critiques to stakeholders to align on the best path forward for both the business and the user.

Working on unreleased hardware meant designing for edge cases before devices were in market. I mapped real‑world environments so AR flows worked across layouts, lighting, and connectivity, moved quickly within Verizon’s design system while respecting brand, patterns, and accessibility, and kept product, engineering, and research aligned through regular reviews and trade‑off discussions.
